Tools & Tips for the best Devoted Man for HER
Experience

To achieve the best possible results with our products, our Do This page provides a how-to guide with tips for using Devoted Man for HER products and essential extras in your daily, weekly and monthly self-care routine.

To dry brush your entire body:

  1. Start with the bottom of your feet. Brush in circular motions, heading toward the heels.

  2. Move on to the legs, using upward motions. Brush one leg at a time.

  3. Brush your stomach in circular, clockwise motions.

  4. For your mid-section, always brush from the back towards the front, maintaining an upward movement.

  5. For your hands and arms, stroke the brush upward toward the shoulders.

When using a dry brush, always make sure you:

  • Stroke your dry brush in the direction of your heart.

  • Use gentle pressure, just enough to scrape off the dirt and dead cells on your skin. When you apply too much pressure, you risk scratching your skin. That could result in redness, rashes, soreness, or even infections.

  • Never use your body dry brush on your face.

  • Dry brush your skin before taking a shower.

  • Always ensure that your dry brush is not dirty. Over time, your brush is bound to accumulate oil, dirt, and dead cells, which might expose your skin to infections.

To use our wet brush or exfoliate with our loofah:

  1. Begin from the top of your body, working from your neck downwards.

  2. Rub your skin gently in circular motions. This loosens up the dead cells and dirt on the skin's surface. Scrub down to the ankles then move to your back.

  3. Brush or gently scrub the arms, hands, heels, and soles of your feet.

  4. Rinse your skin with cold water, which closes your pores.

To ensure that you get the best out of wet brushing, you should:

  • Use lukewarm water – A long hot shower sounds wonderful, but it may not be the best for your skin. Lukewarm water is more effective in washing off the dirt without irritating your skin.

  • Hot water strips the skin of its natural oils, leaving it dry and exposed.

  • Avoid showering for too long as this can also be detrimental to your skin.

You have to have a bathtub to use a bath bomb or bath powder.

To get the fullest enjoyment from your bath bomb:

  1. Fill the bathtub at least halfway with warm water before putting in the bath bomb.

  2. Unwrap the bath bomb and place it in the water or, if using dust, sprinkle 1/4 to 1/2 a cup of the dust in your bath water.

  3. Get in and enjoy your aromatic soak.

  4. No need to wait until it finishes fizzing to get into the bathtub.

Do not use a shower steamer in your bath. If your bathtub is both a shower and bathtub setup, only use a steamer when you are using the bathtub to take a shower.

Follow these instructions to use your shower steamer or dust:

  1. Place your shower steamer or shower dust on the floor, in the soap dish or on a ledge where a mist or drops of water can land on it to activate the essential oils. Do not place the steamer or dust in the direct shower water stream to give it time to release the essential oils before being washed away.

  2. Start your shower and wait a few minutes for it to steam up. The steam will help release the essential oils and soothing aromatherepeutic scents that make our shower steamers and dust unique.

  3. Breathe out the stress tension and noise and breathe in the Scent-sational Shower Steamer or shower dust fragrance.

  4. Repeat until you’re feeling relaxed and revived.

To moisturize dry skin or hair:

Remember, less is more when it comes to these premium, hand-blended oils.

  1. Place a small amount of oil in the palm of your hand and rub into skin until fully absorbed.

  2. For hair use, rub oil from roots to ends of hair strands, paying close attention to the ends.

  3. Apply additional oil to split ends for deeper conditioning.

  4. Dab a little oil on your nail and rub into your cuticle area to keep nails and cuticles healthy especially if your hands are in water often.

4

To moisturize dry or irritated skin:

  1. Remove a small amount of the melt from the jar or grab your lotion bar.

  2. Apply melt or bar liberally to feet, elbows, hands or other areas of dry skin where needed.

  3. Apply moisturizing melt to split ends for deep conditioning.

  4. To improve skin or hair health, apply melt or bar daily and often as appropriate.

  5. For extra moisturizing, apply the melt or bar at night.
